About

Jon Plant, DVM is the founder of SkinVet Clinic in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  Never quite satisfied with the status quo, Jon has advanced a unique approach to allergy immunotherapy for canine atopic dermatitis, regionally-specific immunotherapy (RESPIT), now used by veterinarians across the US.

Jon graduated from Reed College and Oregon State University (DVM, 1988). He completed a dermatology residency with Wayne Rosenkrantz and Craig Griffin at the Animal Dermatology Clinic in Southern California.  He founded the Animal Dermatology Specialty Clinic in Marina del Rey, CA after becoming board certified in 1991.  He moved back to Oregon in 2005, teaching at the College of Veterinary Medicine for 3 years before moving to Portland.  He has served as the Chairman of the ACVD Examination Committee, President of the Portland VMA Executive Board, and is the Dermatology Editor for the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association.

His wife, Kara, and two young children always keep him on his toes.

Sorry Scott, I may have enough to keep my existing patients on Apoquel, but not enough to add more — even those patients within my practice that I have seen for years.
